1. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:
Verein zur Förderung der globalen Bioökonomie e.V. (AAGB e.V.)
Leonhardtstraße 14, 14057 Berlin, Germany
E-mail: gtups@uni-bonn.de
2. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by an external service provider. When you visit the site, the provider’s servers automatically record information that your browser transmits. This includes the browser type and version, the operating system, the referrer URL, the host name of the accessing device, the time of the server request and the IP address.
This data is not merged with other data sources. It is processed on the basis of Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR: we have a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and the security of our website. The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for these purposes. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the hosting provider.
3. Cookies
This website does not use tracking or analytics cookies. WordPress may set a technically necessary session cookie when a registered user logs in to the administration area; this does not apply to ordinary visitors. No consent banner is therefore required.
4. Fonts
The typefaces used on this site are served from our own server. No connection to Google Fonts or any other third-party font service is established, and no visitor IP address is transmitted for this purpose.
5. Images and media
All images on this site are stored in our own media library and delivered from our own server. No content is embedded from external services, so no third party receives your IP address when a page loads.
6. Contact by e-mail
If you contact us by e-mail, the details you provide — including your e-mail address and any information in the message — are stored by us in order to process your enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR where the enquiry relates to a prospective or existing relationship, and otherwise Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering enquiries addressed to us.
We retain this data until you ask us to delete it, you withdraw your consent, or the purpose for storing it no longer applies. Mandatory statutory retention periods remain unaffected.
7. Spam protection
Antispam Bee processes comment and form data locally on our own server and transmits nothing to third parties.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to obtain information about the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15), to have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16), to have your data deleted (Art. 17), to have processing restricted (Art. 18), to receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20), to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21), and to withdraw consent you have given at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3)).
To exercise any of these rights, write to gtups@uni-bonn.de.
9. Right to lodge a complaint
If you believe that the processing of your personal data infringes the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement. For the controller named above, the competent authority is the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit.
10. SSL/TLS encryption
This site uses SSL/TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the address line of your browser changing from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in the browser line.
